A. M. Hoffman graduated from the State Moscow Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky in 1969 , class of Prof. Y.G. Yagudin. Since 1958 was the orchestra soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society. He played in an ensemble with such musicians as Sviatoslav Richter, Bela Rudenko, David Oistrakh, and others. He performed in concerts and recorded a wide range of products, from concerts Boccherini, Pergolesi, GF Telemann works to B. Martin and C. Barbera.
Since 1990, he teaches at the State Music Institute of Moscow named after Gnesin. Among the students of Albert Hoffman there are Soloists of Moscow and different foreign orchestras: Sergey Turmilov Elena Evtyukova Sergei Grechannik Yuri Pryalkin, Alexander Groth, Stanislav Yaroshevskii, Alexei Morozov, Simon Zavyalov, etc.
