Director of the festival “Music and Nature ” in Rome and the festival of Villa Traiano in Arcinazzo Romano. The winner of numerous national and international competitions . He is pursuing an active concert career as a soloist, with orchestra and in various chamber ensembles in Italy, Europe , Brazil, USA , Africa, Middle East, and Russia .   Domenico Ascione finished the conservatory S. Pietro a Maiella in Naples on guitar with Bruno Battisti D’Amario, then continued training with Angelo Gilardino. He studied harmony and counterpoint with Valentino Miserachs and composition with Aldo Clementi. In addition, completed a course of Musicology at the Higher Institute of Musical Palaeography and Semiografii In Rome with Francesco Luisi. Throughout his career, have got and had wide concert activity as a soloist,  with orchestra and in various chamber ensembles in Italy, Europe , Brazil, USA , Africa, Middle East, and Russia . Many times cooperated with the Opera House in Rome. In his solo concerts have always preferred repertoire of  XX century and modern works, performing among others the works of H. Villa, and was praised by public and critics . He has made recordings for Lira Records, la Bottega Discantica, Fonè, Ed. Paoline, for television of Italian Switzerland and RAI. For many years, has been active as a composer and performer founded quartet Mishmash, the group recorded the album “Delta”, “Parvanè,” Yasaman ” for Finisterre. Many years working with the singer and actress Evelina Meghnagi, with which recorded a CD “Di voce in voce” for MRF. In his other projects, such as il Latin Connection Trio, l’Ascione Quintet, il Trio Mare Nostrumlo he appears as gang – leader, composer, singer , along other well-known names in the world “scene” of Italy. Cooperates with Tarantula Hypertext Orchestra, Luigi Cinque, performing together with such masters as Jivan Gasparian. Wrote the stage music for dancing . (Company Elsa Piperno) and theater ( including the 2005 edition “Memorie d’Adriano” with Giorgio Albertazzi, “Salonicco ’43” F.Ceriani), for  pedagogy and published them in Berbèn.
