Professor at the Rome Conservatory “S. Cecilia”
Alfredo Santoloci is a composer and polistrumentist. Gratuated in Composition, Electronic music, Saxophone and Clarinet.
His compositions have been performed in Italy and abroad (Barcelona, Paris, Warsava, Tel Aviv, Teheran, Istanbul…)
He produced performances for the Theatre, the Radio and Television.
His works have been broadcast on RAI television and Radio Vaticana.
His orchestral compositions have been performed in occasion of famous jazz festivals and contemporary music festivals (JAZZ & IMAGE-Roma; NUOVA CONSONANZA-Roma; FESTIVAL delle NAZIONI-Città di Castello; PERUGIA CLASSICO-Perugia).
He performed in Italy and abroad with the most famous italian orchestras (Orchestra of the Academy “S.Cecilia” – Orch. Sinfonica della RAI – Orch. Ritmi moderni della RAI – Orch. Del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma – Orch. Del Teatro S.Carlo di Napoli) under the direction of: L. Berio, L. Mazel, D. Oren, G. Pretre, G. Sinopoli.Moreover, he has practised for 30 years as a concert-artist performing both as a jazz composer and a Big Band director.
He wan the fist prize as a best student at Umbria Jazz ’86 in the lectures teached at the Berklee College of Music in Boston held by Gary Burton.
He performed with: Sal Nistico, Rosario Giuliani, Xavier Girotto, George Garzone, John La Porta, Massimo Urbani, Maurizio Giammarco, Maria Pia De Vito.
His compositions and his CD have been published by “Rai Trade”, “”Edelmusic” di Milano,” Vicky Production” di Pavia , “Pentaflower” e “Domani Musica” di Roma.
He is actually an academic saxophone professor at the S. Cecilia Conservatory of Rome
