Professor of “Instrumental jazz performance “, department at Gnessin Russian Academy of Music,
Member of the Russian Union of Composers. He graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music as a saxophonist (first graduate saxophonist in the Soviet Union ), then made fellowship at the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky. Prize – Winner of the Soviet Union competition of wind instruments in Minsk in 1979, prize- winner of the International Festival of Youth and Students in Havana (Cuba) in 1978. Author of “School jazz improvisation for saxophone ” (published in ” Kifara “, 1997 . Reprint and 2002 ed. “Brass Collegium ” , Moscow), training programs for universities on special classes of saxophone and jazz ensemble of the 2nd and 3rd generations and other teaching aids . On the jazz scene over about 40 years. Participated in international jazz festivals : Belgrade – ’75 and ’85 ; Leipzig – ’85 ; Sofia – ’86 ; Prague – ’86 ; “Jazz northern Seas ” – 88 ( The Netherlands ) , ” Jakarta – ’88 ” (Indonesia), ” Corpus Christi Jazz Festival 1990 ” , USA; Toured : Denmark , Germany, USA , Bulgaria, Yugoslavia , as well as by country: Krasnoyarsk , Kursk, St. – Petersburg, Ufa , Nizhny – Novgorod , Arkhangelsk, Belgorod , Orel, Obninsk , Voronezh, Yekaterinburg , Tomsk, Lipetsk , Norilsk, Salekhard , Samara, Volgograd, Rostov -on-Don , etc. Since 1989 is the leader of the ensemble jazz music ” Green Wave .” The ensemble consists of students, ex students and teachers of the department “instrumental jazz performance” at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. Oseychuk Alexander is one of the founders of jazz education in Russia. Since 1974 , with the opening of jazz music departments in the music colleges of the USSR worked in the State Music University named after Gnessin , and since 1984 he is a lecturer in special saxophone, jazz ensemble and jazz improvisation in the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. About 30 of his students became winners of international and national competitions.
